The JCC fitness staff is eager to help you find the fitness program that works best for you. We know there might be a tough week or two when enthusiasm wanes and life gets in the way of your resolve. We've got that covered too with group fitness classes — intense to low-impact, early morning to evening, and everything in between. The JCC also has a talented group of personal trainers. There's yoga, pool workouts, indoor cycling, Pilates, and so much more!

New to the JCC?

Newcomers to the JCC can sometimes be surprised to find such an extensive health and fitness facility. For our regulars, they know it's a hidden gem filled with top-notch professional instructors, challenging classes, gleaming facilities, and options for just about every interest.

Newcomers

It's also a place to feel comfortable, where you can find a connection with instructors & classmates alike. We eschew the typical gym mentality, where the facilities may be cavernous & instructors have little patience for the novice. Everyone is welcome at the JCC — from the elite athlete to someone simply looking for a way to shed a few pounds. And we're here to help, encourage, and motivate.

Complimentary Orientation

For members, we provide a one-time, complimentary orientation to help you get the most out of the facility. Simply email our Fitness department at fitness@slcjcc.org.

Strength and Cardio Room Policies

  • Respect all equipment and others working out in shared spaces
  • Workout attire, including shirts and closed-toe shoes, are required at all times
  • Equipment must be wiped down and returned to its neutral state after use (unload plates, lower handles, return props, etc.)
  • Hand weights, plates, and props must be returned to their storage after use
  • Volume and exclamations should be kept to a minimum
  • All space and equipment should be shared – do not loiter on equipment when not in use
  • The JCC is not responsible for lost or stolen items, so store personal belongings at user’s risk

Youth Fitness Age Policies

  • Children 13 years old and under are not allowed in the Strength or Cardio Rooms at any time
  • Children 14 & 15 years old are allowed in the Strength or Cardio Rooms only after completion of the JCC Youth Weight Room Orientation
  • Children 16+ years old are allowed in the Strength and Cardio Rooms at any time
