From its beginnings on South Temple, to the construction of the James L. White JCC, and our eventual home in the old Fort Douglas Country Club, the JCC has been an active and vibrant part of the Salt Lake City Community. Learn about its history and our upcoming events celebrating 100 years!

100 Years

2025 marks 100 years since the founding of the Jewish Community Center in Salt Lake City. From its early beginnings on South Temple to its move to 17th South, and then to its current location, the J has continued to flourish, inspire, and grow. We are not only at the heart of the Jewish community, but in the Salt Lake community at large, welcoming people of all faiths, ages, and family configurations to a safe place where they can come together in peace to strengthen their bodies, minds, and spirits.
