What is Shalom on the Range?

Shalom on the Range is the JCC’s one and only fundraiser each year. It is a gala event with drinks, dinner, silent and live auctions, and music. Money is raised for the JCC as well as for its scholarship programs.

We’re especially thrilled to announce a once-in-a-hundred years opportunity: The I.J. and Jeanné Wagner Charitable Foundation will match all donations made for this year’s Shalom on the Range, meaning your impact will be doubled!

Shalom on the Range is at the pool. Can I go swimming?

Our beautiful event takes place poolside. However, it is not a pool party. Swimming will need to happen when the pool is open.

Most fundraising events are formal. What do I wear?

This year we are celebrating 100 years of the Jewish Community Center in Salt Lake City, so this year's Shalom on the Range jitterbugs us right back to 1925. It is all about the Roaring '20s, from speakeasies to Prohibition to Flappers and cool jazz. Flapper dresses, pearls, vests, fedoras, straw hats  - or just whatever you feel comfortable with wearing. The Roaring '20s fashion was all about newfound freedom, shorter hemlines, and having fun!

I am out of town during Shalom on the Range. Are there still ways I can participate?

Although we would love to have you join us, we know that sometimes attendance isn’t possible. There are many ways to be a part of the fun, and contribute to the JCC:

  • Our silent auction is open to everyone - It is all online, and the bidding closes at 11:59 p.m. on June 20
  • Sign up for one of our fabulous poster parties
  • Purchase a Golden Ticket for one of our big Live Auction items
  • Purchase tickets for our Opportunity Baskets – you can enter for an opportunity to win one of our awesome baskets – choices for young and old alike!
  • Make a straight donation towards the JCC or one of our scholarship programs
  • Purchase Opportunity Trip Tickets

Will parking be difficult at Shalom on the Range?

The JCC is closed for Shalom on the Range, so there will be plenty of places to park in our lot. Carpooling and Uber or Lyft for this event is always encouraged.
