Recovery is a key part of fitness, and is often neglected. When we go too long without proper recovery practices, we accumulate fatigue, and that fatigue can lead to sub-par performance in most cases and injury in the worst cases. In this workshop, we will cover lifestyle adjustments, recovery practices, and supplementation to help you bolster your training with proper recovery.
Monday, April 14 | 6-7 PM | Board Room
Instructor: Cari Junge
Join Cari Junge, (USA Triathlon Expert Short-Long Coach and JCC Professional Trainer, 12x Ironman Triathlete and World Championship Qualifier) for this interactive talk on the what, why, how and who (could it be You?!) of the fast growing sport of triathlon. Short and long-course events, local-national-international, fitness levels, goals and assessments. So much to talk about — send your questions by April 1, 2025 to letstalktriathlon@gmail.com.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Instructor: Stephen Hill
Power, or the ability to move weight quickly, is a crucial yet often overlooked component of fitness. More than just a tool for athletes, power training directly enhances daily life by improving strength, agility, and overall functionality. The benefits are wide-ranging and include:
- Enhanced athletic performance
- Reduced risk of injury
- Improved cardiovascular health
- Sharper cognition and a better mood
- Greater independence and mobility as we age
Despite its many advantages, power training is often misunderstood and underutilized. This workshop will demystify power training and equip you with the knowledge and foundational exercises needed to integrate it into your fitness routine — helping you move with more strength, speed, and confidence in everyday life.
Please come dressed in athletic clothing and bring a water bottle!
