What does it actually mean to lift heavy? How often should you strength train? And how do you know when it’s time to increase the weight? This workshop breaks down the why, what, and how of strength training, with a special focus on what the research tells us about women during perimenopause and beyond.

We’ll cover:

  • Why strength training matters for muscle, bone health, metabolism, balance, and long-term function
  • What “lifting heavy” really means and how to choose the right weight
  • How to build strength through progressive overload
  • How often to train and how to fit strength training into your week
  • How to track progress and know when it’s time to increase the challenge
  • How to stay consistent and make strength training sustainable

You don’t need to be an experienced lifter. Whether you’re brand new to the weight room or simply want to understand how to train more effectively, this workshop will give you the tools and confidence to get stronger.

Come learn why strength training is one of the most important things you can do for your health—especially through midlife and beyond.
