Foot posture is the anchor point of the entire kinetic chain which significantly influences alignment, stability, and efficiency in all forms of locomotion including walking, running, and jumping. A slight dysfunction at the foot can be magnified into strain and injury further up the body (ankle, knee, hip, and back).
- Big Toe Power: Understand the critical, often-overlooked, role of your big toe in the push-off phase of movement. We will use specific exercises to unlock its power, which is essential for efficient walking, running, and achieving powerful, explosive movements.
- Strength Training: A powerful foot-to-body connection allows you to safely handle heavier loads by creating a solid, non-negotiable anchor point during exercises like squats, deadlifts, and overhead presses. It minimizes energy leaks, translating into greater lifting efficiency and maximum force production.
- Plyometrics & Explosive Movement: Foot Function should act as a spring, critically governing how quickly and efficiently your body can absorb and redirect force. By mastering your foot mechanics, you dramatically improve ground reaction time, jump height, and agility, making your plyometric training safer and significantly more effective.
