Balance & Mobility for Back and Knee Health
Thursday, November 13 | 11 AM - 12 PM | Strength Studio
Instructor: Libba Shannonhouse
Learn how to move with more ease, strength, and confidence—while protecting your back and knees. In this gentle, interactive workshop designed for active older adults, we’ll explore how posture and alignment play a key role in preventing pain and improving balance.
Topics we’ll cover:
- How to find and maintain neutral pelvic alignment during movement
- Why poor posture and form can increase stress on joints like the knees and spine
- The real story behind tight hamstrings and back pain—and why stretching isn’t always the solution
- How to safely activate your core and glutes to support your body better
- Easy, practical tips for building strength and balance without overloading the joints
You’ll leave with a better understanding of how to move smarter—not harder—and how to support your body from the inside out. This workshop includes discussion, guided movement, and take-home exercises you can use in daily life.
Join us for a series of once-a-month workshops for our members and guests.
