We are honored to have Monika Jalili and Nina Wolf as our commemoration keynote presenters. They will share the story of the 222 Transport. "The story is personal...it's about my father, who was 10 years old at the time, his family, and its lasting impact on my life," explains Monika.

Told with historical photographs and an interview format, Monika and Nina will shed light on a lesser-known chapter of the Holocaust - the story of the survival of 222 inmates from the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp who were exchanged with members of the German Pietist Sect, the Templar, who settled in British-occupied Palestine.

Monika Jalili, born Bergenthal
Monika was born and raised in New York City and is a first-generation American on her father's side and second-generation American on her mother's side. She is a musician specializing in Persian music, a French educator, and editor, currently based in Montpellier, France.

Nina Wolf
Nina is a German immigration lawyer originally hailing from Baden Württemberg, Germany, and since 2008 based in Salt Lake City, Utah. In light of Germany's recent legislation granting eligibility for German citizenship to people who fled or endured Nazi persecution and their descendants, Nina is actively assisting these in obtaining their rightful German citizenship through renaturalization, Wiedergutmachungseinbürgerung, working at Wolf Law LLC in Utah.
