Center Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Applications are now being accepted for our Visitor Services Staff positions. Qualified candidates must be friendly, outgoing, energetic individuals who are willing to provide top-notch service to our guests and customers at the JCC's front desk or fitness desk. If you are a "people-person" who would enjoy working with the public on a day-to-day basis, we would like to meet you. As a representative of the JCC, you have the opportunity to make a great first impression with first-time visitors, while expanding our relationships with regular visitors and growing member base.

IDEAL CANDIDATES:
Quality customer service
Cash-handling experience
Basic computer skills
Proper phone etiquette

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Greeting and assisting visitors and members
  • Ensuring everyone scans in according to procedures
  • Answering phones, assisting customers with questions regarding programs, memberships, and/or events
  • Completing POS transactions
  • Assisting with events
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the facility

This position has room for advancement to supervisor level with demonstrated ability to exceed expectations of duties and responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Customer service experience required
  • Strong ability to follow company policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate ability to multi task and meet demands of membership services and staff support
  • Organizational skills required

HOURS AND COMPENSATION:
This is a part-time position. Hours and shifts will vary. Some evening and weekend work is required. Starting wage is $8.00 per hour

JCC Group Fitness Instructor

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:
The JCC Group Fitness instructor is considered an independent contractor. The instructor reports to the Health and Fitness Director.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To provide state of the art group fitness instruction that significantly contributes to each member's health and fitness goals. To develop and instruct fun, energetic and highly motivational group fitness classes for all fitness skill levels.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Certification:

  • Current Group Exercise certification and maintain certification standards
  • Must have current CPR certification
  • Must have current First Aid certification

Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of aerobic teaching experience required

Personal Skills:

  • Dependable and punctual
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational with large groups
  • Excellent physical condition
  • Professional manner and appearance
  • Basic practical knowledge of human anatomy and kinesiology
  • Organized and creative
  • Good verbal and interpersonal skills
