Explore, learn, play, discover. There are so many things for a kid to do! Since its inception in the 1950's, the Salt Lake JCC has been home to one of the premier early childhood centers in Utah. Nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the JCC offers a play-based program that is developmentally appropriate. The ECC has year round programs for children 2 years of age through kindergarten. Our philosophy is that children learn by doing: their academic and emotional development is enhanced when they make their own discoveries and can apply what they learn to their own lives. We maintain a low child to teacher ratio with talented, credentialed teachers and expose children to a wide variety of learning opportunities that foster self-confidence, independence, and self-discipline. Jewish holidays and traditions are also an important part of our program. An additional benefit of the JCC preschool program is the J's staff of Jewish educators, Health & Fitness instructors and the excellent facilities available to our young students.
